Duma Works is recruiting an IT Programmer for our client; a leading tour company in Arusha, Tanzania.
The Software Developer will form an integral part of the ERP Implementation team and part of the function of Programming and Report Writing.
This contract is a predominantly for a Software Programmer, including other IT Administrator duties, and includes an opportunity for employee to build up knowledge in programming (initially Visual Basic), and made up as follows:
Responsibilities
- Analyze user’s needs and then discuss, design, test, and develop software to meet those needs
- Recommend software upgrades for customers’ existing programs and systems
- Design each piece of an application or a system and plan integration within ERP system
- Create models and diagrams (such as flowcharts) that instruct programmers how to write software code
- Write new program code or modify existing ‘off-the-shelf’ software packages
- Ensure that a program continues to function normally through software maintenance and testing
- Document every aspect of an application or a system as a reference for future maintenance and upgrades
- Maintain and support systems once they are up and running
- Collaborate with other IT specialists to create optimum ERP system.
Requirements
- Proven working experience as an IT Programmer or relevant experience in a Software Development Company
- Available to work in Arusha full time
- A degree or higher in computer science or related IT field
