Cost Accountant (1 Position)

The Karanga Leather Industries Company Co. Ltd (KLICL) is established as a joint venture company limited between Public Service Social Security Fund (PSSSF) and Tanzania Prisons Service through its company known as Prisons Corporation Sole to undertake development and operate leather Industries in Karanga Area, Moshi Municipality. The Karanga Leather Industries Company Limited (KLICL) intends to hire qualified, energetic, dynamic and proactive Tanzanians to fill the following positions in the organization structure.

POSITION: Cost Accountant (1 Position)

a) QUALIFICATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Holder of Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field from a recognized Higher Learning Institutions plus CPA (T) certificate with at least 5 years’ experience in Cost Accounting in manufacturing industries; Knowledge of IFRS and IPSAS will be an added advantage

b) MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Planning, Studying, and collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory and labour;
ii. Analysing changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods or services provided, to determine effects on cost;
iii. Analysing actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs;
iv. Making estimates of new and proposed product costs;
v. Providing management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services;
vi. Developing and Maintaining Cost Accounting System;
vii. Providing support to other functional areas of the Company; Manufacturing – works with Production Manager/Factory Manager to identify cost savings projects, analysing and forecasting the impact on cost structure, and assisting in the development of the business casecost-benefit analysis for capital investments. Inventory Control – investigates inventory adjustments resulting from periodic cycle counts and annual physical inventory. Purchasing/Procurement – analysing purchases price variances & monitors material price trends to support price negotiations with vendors
viii. Preparing end-month closing, including year-end inventory and monthly cycle counts, and analyse inventory evaluation, and inventory roll forward;
ix. Performing any other duties as directed by Supervisor.

REMUNERATION
All positions carries attractive package commensurate with one’s qualification and experience.

(NECTA) and National Council for Technical Education (NACTE);
viii. Certificates from foreign universities should be verified by The Tanzania Commission for Universities;
