Position: Logistics and Warehouse Officer

Mission
Carry out responsibility in the supply function. Your goal is to achieve customer satisfaction through timely response to supply enquiries and maintaining of the correct stock levels to meet Atlas Copco and customer operations while minimizing working capital and wastage.

Specific Activities
1. Carry out stock ordering and holding functions i.e.
a. Stock Planning and re-ordering in consultation with relevant sales and Aftermarket Departments.
b. Order placement with Distribution Centres.
c. Communication with Logistics Service Providers to facilitate shipment and clearing. Order receiving, inspection and warehousing.
d. Arrange road transport, loading and off-loading of imported goods. Control stock levels as well as stock in days.
e. Stock control and management, including update of stock records.
f. Stock Takes.
g. Stock Returns.
h. Ensuring safety of stock.
2. Manage Counter sales and issuing of equipment, parts and consumables:
a. Issue and document issues to Atlas Copco service staff.
b. Receive and address customer enquiries.
c. Identify customer needs and prepare quotations.
d. Issue and document deliveries to customers.
e. Raise invoices for all issues, internally or externally as required.
3. Manage the Logistics flow of rebuild components from the customers
a. Receive the failed components from the customers and handing over to technical department.
b. Arranging for packaging of components to be sent for rebuild outside the country
c. Preparing for export paperwork for components to be sent for rebuild outside the country
d. Coordinating with the clearing agent and forwarders to export/import the failed/rebuilt.
e. Follow-up with the Mwanza workshop department and also the rebuild centre in SA and advising the customer on the delivery status for their rebuild components.
f. Arranging for delivery of rebuilt components back to the customer.
4. Follow up payment for credit sales.
5. Maintain good customer relations, including provision of regular feedback on delivery issues and stocking requirements.
6. Provide back-up for Logistics and Warehouse staff in Mwanza Branch and other sites if and when required.
7. Maintain high standards of workman-ship and observe safety and environmental requirements.
8. Other duties as may be assigned by your Supervisor.

Experience requirements
At least 2 to 3 years of experience in Logistics and Warehouse, particularly experience within mining industry will be an asset

Educational requirements
Degree/Diploma in Logistics and Warehouse Management
