Job opportunities at WaterAid Tanzania

WaterAid is an international NGO dedicated exclusively to the provision of safe water, sanitation and hygiene promotion to some of the world’s poorest people. We currently have a number of exciting opportunities to work in our Tanzania office.

1. People and Organisational Development Manager
You will support employee engagement, internal communication, and coaching managers. Managing systems and processes to embed group initiatives you will deliver the agenda from our Global People Strategy. You will need experience of working with people in all functions of an organisation.

2. Programme Officer – School Water, Sanitation Hygiene (SWASH) 
Supporting the development and management of school water, sanitation and hygiene projects in Tanzania, you will assist the identification and design of new projects. Undertaking proposal writing as well as monitoring and evaluation of projects, you will manage relationships with partners. You will support financial management across projects and develop good relationships with local government authorities and local NGOs. 

3. Programme Officer – Urban Integrated WASH
The post holder will organise, supervise and monitor the implementation of innovative approaches and technologies to improve water, sanitation and hygiene in schools. Working in partnership with Local Government Authorities and local NGOs, you will coordinate delivery of water and sanitation initiatives in urban areas.You will document outcomes from the initiatives and draw lessons to support sector engagement.

4. Programme Officer – Small Towns’ Water, Sanitation and Hygiene
The post holder will build the capacity of local partners to plan and pilot integrated water, sanitation and hygiene technology and systems in small town areas.This will involve offering technical support to the Local Government Authorities and NGO partners. You will design and deliver effective water supply systems for poor people and address issues around improved hygiene approaches. 

5. Programme Officer – Water and Sanitation 
Responsible for technical support in both the small towns and rural areas, you will ensure service delivery is implemented to high standards. You will be expected to work with national and local government, the private sector and other NGOs. You will develop innovative water supplies, hardware delivery and water resource management, as well as innovative sanitation designs and promotion.
