ABG has openings for Graduates in various disciplines at its Bulyanhulu, Buzwagi and North Mara mines.
We are searching for dedicated, self-motivated and highly organized New Graduates in Mining Engineering, Metallurgy, Geology, Environment, Exploration, Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil),'Survey, Supply Chain, Education, Finance, Human Resources and Environmental Health Sciences Disciplines to join our Teams in the mine sites so as to work to achieve and surpass safety and quality objectives to the reward of both the individual and ABG.
INTRODUCTION:
The mining industry is a demanding and challenging world where field experience and meeting challenges on the job is as important as book knowledge and data. African Barrick Gold Tukue Pamoja Graduates Development Program is built around a philosophy that direct personal interaction, collaboration, mentoring and coaching; which are key to learning success.
This is a two (2) year program whereby, graduates will undergo on-the-job training; they will be assessed accordingly; within and after completion of the 2 years they may be given a permanent contract for career growth within the company
Objective Of The Program:
The objective of African Barrick Gold Tukue Pamoja Graduates Development Program is to provide Industry Leadership & Professional Development through Learning.
Tukue Pamoja Graduates Development Program offers a fully integrated tool set to pursue success; the two complementary dimensions of Tukue Pamoja learning programs are Experience and Knowledge: whereby;
Experience means personal interaction with more senior experienced people and peers to learn by doing on-the-job, facing real-world challenges and learning the nuts and bolts of our business hands-on; and Knowledge involves both, information, hard data, and technical instruction programs coupled with sophisticated collaboration and information sharing tools that enable each individual to balance field work with structured knowledge, technologies models and methods that are essential to the mining industry.
At African Barrick Gold, team member effectiveness is key, uniting and guiding the decisions and n actions of our team members; this common set of beliefs will provide each graduate with a sense ( of direction and purpose. These values form a foundation of our culture.
Tukue Pamoja Graduate Development Program is designed to equip graduates with relevant learning programs to achieve individual career goals and provide the most effective professional education, while maintaining maximum flexibility.
KEY COMPETENCY AREAS:
The ideal candidates for these positions would demonstrate the following primary knowledge,
skills, and attributes;
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in the functions mentioned in this document and/or any related discipline
- with Upper Second - GPA not lower than 3.5
- Fluency in speaking and writing English
- Computer literate in MS Office
- Self-Management and Personal Traits:
- Ability to think strategically and implement tactically Demonstrated ability to achieve deadlines and manage priorities
- Decisiveness, resilience and resourcefulness
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
