We are a Management Company of prestigious 5* luxury resorts in the enchanting island of Zanzibar, East Africa. We are seeking an exceptional Chief Accountant. - ·You will be directly responsible for the management of the Accounts Department.
- ·You will have a proven track record in financial and accounting at a management level more then 5-6 years.
- ·Strong technical accounting knowledge will be essential.
- ·Excellent communication and influential skills will be a key to your success in this role.
- ·Only candidates who have significant hotel/resort experience can be considered for this role.
- ·As Chief Accountant you will be responsible for a small team of purchasing, stores, accounts and IT.
- ·As with all management roles this will be hands on and you will be expected to lead, develop and train your team.
- ·Candidate must be able to assist in the day to day operation of the accounting.
- ·Primary responsibilities include preparation of accounting statement, analysis, budgeting/forecasting, audit and control, asset & liability reconciliation, working capital and cash control.
- ·The ideal candidate will be qualified with strong technical accounting and leadership skills and must have the passion to drive continuous improvement in systems and processes across all operations.
