Our client, an international not for profit organisation, working in over 33 development countries across the world in Africa, Asia and Latin America is currently looking for a highly skilled individual to fill the position of finance controller. The organisation has a long presence in Tanzania, and based on current project is strongly expanding its operations and diversifying its donors. It is therefore looking for a dynamic individual for this senior position as part of the county management team, based in Dar-es-salaam
Job Title: Finance Controller
Reporting To: Country Director
Contract Type: Definite, 2 years renewable, Tanzanian Nationals
Purpose
The Finance Controller position exists to provide support to all Tanzanian based finance activities, He/She implements finance policies and functionally supervises support staff located in the field offices in addition to providing financial advice to the country management team
Qualification
- Degree in Accounting, Financial management or related fields, preferably MBA with professional accounting qualifications such as CPA, CIMA, ACCA
- Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in similar position preferably in a Not for profit making organisation
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Computer literate, proficient with MS Word and Financial applications
- Proactive personality and of high integrity
- Good communicator and critical thinker
- Strong analytic and strategic skills
- Ability to work systematically under pressure
