Job Summary:
Report to Head Teller responsible for providing continuous, quick and accurate teller services to all customers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- To authenticate the genuineness of customers before making payments.
- To receive cash and verify the amount and genuineness of notes received in the presence of the customer before posting.
- Correctly captures all transactions into the system and ensures that transactions are authorized with no error on posting
- Adheres to the prescribed cash limits
- To balance cash account after day’s work.
- To pay cash to the right customers within the authorized limit.
- To perform tellering duties with speed and accuracy.
- To surrender cash in hand to the custodians after closure of business.
- To carry out any other related duties as may be assigned by Management
- Holder of Degree or Advanced Diploma or Diploma in business administration, accounting, finance or experience in related field
- Demonstrate high level of integrity
- Basic computer literacy.
- Knowledge of bank operations
- Working experience of at least 2 years as teller in a bank is an added advantage.
