Swift Tours & Travel Ltd invites applicants from suitably qualified and experienced background for the following post for its operations, which are to be based in Dar es Salaam.
Position: General Manager
Job Profile
You will be responsible for;
- Liaising with travel partners, including airlines and hotels to develop privileged relationships
- Motivating the team to reach their targets and ensure profitability of the company
- Negotiating with airlines, hotels and other suppliers for better rates and better products/ services
- Identifying opportunities and implementing the business plan
- Managing budgets and maintaining statistical/ financial records
- Development and effective implementation of PR and Marketing actions
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Diploma in Air Ticketing or related field .e.g. Tourism or Hospitality
- Minimum of 3 years experience managing an airline department or company in the airline industry.
Knowledge and Competencies
- Excellent interpersonal skills across a variety of cultures
- Must be fluent in English and Kiswahili, both written and spoken, and knowledge of international languages is an added advantage.
- Must have a presentable personality
- Should possess integrity and ethical values
- Positive attitude with the ability to lead a team and motivate a team
- Conversant with Galileo & Amadeus air ticketing software
- Excellent sales and negotiations skills
- Willing to work long irregular hours during peak seasons
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work under high pressure and prioritize tasks
