Chemonics International is recruiting for multiple positions for the anticipated Comprehensive Community Cascade for Epidemic Control Among Key and Vulnerable Populations (CCC-KVP) project in Tanzania

Chemonics International Inc. is a leading international consulting firm based in Washington, D.C. with significant experience implementing USAID programs in East Africa and with decades of experience collaborating with host-country counterparts around the world to improve the availability of health services and manage complex health systems strengthening programs. Chemonics seeks experienced health professionals for the anticipated USAID-funded Tanzania CCC-KVP Program. This program seeks toimprove the cascade of HIV prevention, testing and treatment for populations affected by high HIV prevalence and limited access to and low coverage of HIV services to achieve sustained reduction in new HIV infections and gender-based violence and to improve reproductive health outcomes.


Clinical Director


CCC-KVP aims to promote HIV and gender-based violence prevention and family planning services for vulnerable populations and people living with HIV. Chemonics seeks aclinical directortogenerate clinical health services through an integrated community platform for the CCC-KVP Program. The role requires familiarity in designingdifferentiated and tailored clinical outreach and service delivery models. The role will be responsible for overseeing all clinical aspects of the program and for working with other technical leads and partners to ensure that service delivery models are effectively reaching beneficiaries.We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.
Responsibilities Include:
Provides technical input on project implementation to achieve health targets and goals
Ensures that all project assistance is technically sound and appropriate for the local context
Designs differentiated approaches for service delivery for people living with HIV (PLHIV)
Oversees strategy development and monitors implementationof CCC-KVP partners
Actively participates in strategic design, workplan development, monitoring and evaluation and reporting
Supports the Chief of Party and other technical specialists to ensure delivery of an integrated and adaptive approach
Participates in policy dialogue and community engagement efforts
Liaises with the government of Tanzania, including the Ministry of Health; stakeholders; and public and private sector counterparts and serves as the technical point of contact and/or acting Chief of Party as required
Effectively manages a team of health experts to achieve program goals
Continually updates knowledge and ensures transfer of information to equip the team with comprehensive, current knowledge and skills, compatible with international norms and standards and facilitates integration of innovative service delivery approaches based on international best practices, lessons learned, research and on the ground results

Qualifications


  • PhD in a health-related field preferred or Master’s degree with 10+ years of experience in health  
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive demonstrated experience working in clinical service delivery or HIV/AIDS service delivery programs 
  • Experience working on USAID- and/or PEPFAR-funded programs preferred
  • Proven success in designing and implementing HIV/AIDS service delivery programs, and strong technical knowledge of HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, family planning, health systems strengthening, and health policy   
  • Ability to work collaboratively, effectively manage a teamand manage technical service delivery interventions
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain working relationships and effective partnerships with U.S. and foreign governments, development partners, private sector entities and community organizations 
  • Work experience in Eastern or sub-Saharan Africa; experience in Tanzania preferred  
  • Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity 
  • Strong communication skills, including interpersonal and in written and oral English required
