Good Neighbors Tanzania seeks to hire a qualified candidate for the position of Driver (2 post) at Fukayosi, Bagamoyo
Reports to: Administration Manager
Contract Duration: April – December, 2018 (Contract could be extended subject to funding)
Job purpose
The project is aimed to support students who walk long distance to reach school. Based on this, main duty of this position is to drive the school bus for student transportation.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide transport support to students from bus stop to school and take them back to the bus stop after studies.
- Recording each movement on the log book prior to departure and upon return.
- Responsible for day to day cleanliness and maintenance of office vehicles.
- To provide transport support for office duties as may be required.
- Perform minor repairs and vehicle inspection before, during and after any trip.
- Follow GNTZ Travel and transport regulations.
- Required to prepare vehicle report every month and submit to the manager.
- Liaise and coordinating with land transportation authority on matters related to all vehicles registration.
- Report all accidents to the authority and ensure immediate actions required are taken.
- Any other related duties as may be assigned.
Qualification and Experience
- Completion of form four-level with class C driving license
- At least 3 years of work experience as a driver
- Must be fluent in English and Swahili (verbal and written)
- Must have clean driving history
- Willingness to work beyond the call of duty
