Seller Acquisition Associate at Kaymu Tanzania

The Seller Acquisition role is a unique sales-focused role centering on the sourcing and acquisition of merchants and retailers in Tanzania for Kaymu’s online marketplace, in close collaboration with the wider Sales Team and Management. This primarily field-based role requires perseverance and individual initiative. Furthermore, deep knowledge of local and international retail markets and products (specifically fashion and electronics) is critical.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
· Sourcing Strategy. Identify potential avenues of maintaining growth in new seller base.
· Sales & Marketing.Communicate clearly and convincingly the value proposition of selling online via a marketplace to prospective business partners (Tanzanian shop-owners).
· Education.Serve as the face of Kaymu to all new and potential clients and customers of Kaymu in the physical retail markets, and educate sellers (and buyers) on Kaymu’s processes to ensure that any orders made can be fulfilled.
· Content Capture.Ensure that new listings generated are top-quality in terms of pictures, product details, and best (competitive) price.
· Reporting. Reportdaily and weekly on achievements and obstacles, observations from different retail segments and markets, and performance (leads and shops acquired).

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW/HAVE:
· 2+ years client-management and/or sales & marketingexperience
· Bachelor's degree (or higher) in marketing, finance or business
· Entrepreneurial mentality – hungry for success, high energy and charismatic
· Strong communication skills in-person and over-the-phone
· Knowledge of retail landscape in Tanzania
· Advanced knowledge of Excel, and attention to detail
· Flexibility, initiative and resilience in a constantly-changing work environment
· Basic understanding of e-commerce (how it works, and it’s potential)
· Speaking and Writing Fluency in English and Swahili
