JOB TITTLE: INTERNAL AUDITOR (2 Positions)
REPORTING TO: INTERNAL AUDIT MANAGER
DUTY STATION: DAR ES SALAAM (with freequent travels up country)
Main Duty:
The job holder is responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of the Company's risk management, control and governance processes and recommend improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, risk management and corporate governance processes
- Determine whether organizational units and functions are performing their activities in compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Report findings and make recommendations for correcting unsatisfactory conditions.
- Asses risks inherent to the operations of Bayport and recommend measures to mitigate them Input in the preparation of the Annual internal audit plan.
- Conduct audits in accordance with audit provisions and auditing standards.
- Conduct reviews of assigned organizational and functional activities and perform special reviews upon request.
Qualifications/Competencies:
- A Bachelor's Degree in accounting or business related field.
- Part or full professional qualification of CIA, ACCA, CPA or CIMA is a must.
- At least 2 -3 years internal auditing experience. Internal auditing experience in a banking environment will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of risk based internal auditing methodology is a Must High level of integrity and confidentiality.
- Excellent report writing and oral communication skills. Ability to give attention to detail (Analytical skills)
- Ability to work well under pressure and with minimum supervision Creativity and Numerical Skills
Additional Skills
Hands on experience with Teammate Audit Management software is an added advantage.
