The National Institute for Productivity (NIP) is a training, consulting and research organisation under the Ministry of Labour and Employment. The main objectives of NIP include the following:
- To promote productivity improvement in enterprises and organisations and spread productivity consciousness in Tanzania
- To improve performance, efficiency and effectiveness of work in the public, private and informal sector organisations through consultancy, research and training services;
- To improve management skills and know-how in an effort to meet existing and future demands of Human Resources;
- To publish and disseminate management literature produced in connection with the work of the Institute.
- In order to achieve these objectives, suitably qualified Tanzanians are invited to fill the position of Personal Secretary Grade I in the Institute.
Duties and Responsibilities
- As a Personal Secretary you will be responsible for:
- Performing Secretarial duties and office management functions; Receiving and directing visitors to responsible officers;
- Keeping custody of records, file registers and computer soft copies; Keeping diary and appointments for your superior;
- Arranging and keeping office files and received letters;
- Typing letters, reports and other documents;
- Processing applications for training;
- Managing training, consultancy and applied research records
- Perform any other duty assigned to you by your superior
Qualifications and Experience
- Secondary Education (A level or 0 level);
- Diploma in secretarial services from a recognised institution
- Demonstrated experience of at least one (1) year performing secretarial duties in a reputable organization Good organization and multiple tasking skills
- Good command of spoken and written English and Kiswahili;
- Good interpersonal and communication skills; Strong personal and professional references; Competence in Microsoft Word, Excel and Access.
