Business Development Officer Grade II – 1 Post
Duties and Responsibilities
· The Officer is responsible for monitoring and coordinating the Business Development activities of the Organisation within the regional.
· Identification of business opportunities and assessment of market potential.
· Promotion of the Regional Office business training and advisory services.
· Identify and select participants for micro and small enterprises training programmes.
· Provide clients with business opportunity guidance.
· Organise and conduct training programmes.
· Assist trainees in preparing their business plan.
· Provide business advice on-site and the Office.
· Monitor effectiveness of services and assess their impact.
· Assist in developing relationships with the local business community and with institutions which provide similar services.
· Perform any other activities as may be assigned by Supervisor.
Qualification And Experience
· Bachelor Degree in Business Management, Economics, Commerce or Related Field.
· Awareness of issues concerning Micro and Small enterprises sector.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Business experience in micro and small business development activities is an added advantage.
· Training or teaching experience and knowledge of and experience in moderation and facilitation techniques are added advantages.
· Computer knowledge in Micro Soft applications (Excel, Word, Power Point and Publisher, etc.) is necessary.
· Applicants should be between 25 - 40 years old.
Remuneration
· Attractive remuneration package in accordance with the Institution’s Salary Scale SDGSS 1, or higher depending on qualifications and experience.

ix. Applicants for senior positions currently employed in the public service should route their application letters through their respective employers.
