Our client, the Trustees of Tanzania National Parks (TANAPA) established under the National Parks Act, Cap. 282 of the 2002, Revised Edition of the Laws of Tanzania is responsible for managing and regulating the use of areas designated as National Parks so as to preserve the country’s heritage, encompassing natural and cultural resources. Currently TANAPA manages fifteen (15) national Parks which are scattered all over the country.
TANAPA is seeking to recruit dynamic, strategic, experienced and qualified Tanzanians with strong credentials to fill the positions of Director of Finance;

DIRECTOR OF FINANCE (DF) Job Ref: TNP/DF/04/13
Position Summary
To formulate policies and procedures for governing financial management in TANAPA and ensure effective implementation of strategies in areas of financial and resources management. Reporting to the Director General, the key responsibilities will include;
• Co-ordinating and advising the Director General on all financial matters;
• Formulating and ensuring implementation of long term strategies for TANAPA, relating to financial policies and material resources management;
• Developing policies and procedures governing financial management in TANAPA;
• Co-ordinating all matters pertaining to financial resources;
• Ensuring timely submission of the reports on financial and management to the Director General;
• Advising the management on financial regulations, policies and procedures;
• Overseeing the preparation of annual corporate budget;
• Conducting performance appraisal for the staff in Finance Directorate; and
• Performing any other duties related duties as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor from time to time.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
• Holder of CPA, ACCA, or equivalent
• Must be registered member of National Board of Accountants and Auditors ( NBAA ) as a Certified Public Accountant
• Ten (10) years of working experience with a reputable organizations in financial management, five (5) of which should be at senior managerial level
• Possession of Master’s degree in Business Administration ( MBA ) is an added advantage
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills with ability to develop team work
• Must be proficient in MS Applications.
