Stores Assistant @World Vision Tanzania

Job Title:  Stores Assistant
Ref No WVT/P&C/F13/14
Reports to:Store Officer
Location: Arusha

Purpose of the position:
Providing support on  Stores officer through receiving, custody, and issuing of supplies and equipment, together with Stores Control by maintaining Stock levels  and reporting for any alarming consumption and unserviceable  with the intention of steward use of WVT resources within the storehouse. 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, certify goods from suppliers and issue as per approved requests
  • Prepare Good Received Note for payment 
Update store ledgers and bin cards
  • Participate in stock taking and verification
  • Prepare list of unserviceable and all obsolete stores for disposal
Minimum Qualification required:
  • Minimum Qualification required: Bachelor Degree in Materials Management/Procurement and Logistics
Experience:
  • Experience:  1yr in Procurement and Logistics
  • Preferred: CSP

Technical Skills & Abilities:
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Experience in working with donor funds
  • Working knowledge of procurement services and practices is an added advantage.
  • Good planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with all levels of staff and suppliers
