Duty Station:Mwanza-1, Tanga-1
Qualifications and Experience:
- Holder of first degree in Laboratory Sciences
- Must have at least four years working Experience in Health/Research related institution
Duties and Responsibilities
- To participate in execution of Research Programmes
- To receive, sort and distribute specimens to appropriate laboratories
- To perform clinical laboratory tests using standard procedures examining human and animal specimens for the purpose of providing information for the diagnosis, prevention or treatment of disease, impairment etc
- To conduct statistical analysis, evaluate test results relative to demographic information and to establish reference materials
- To devise and adapt technical procedures and modify equipment as needed.
- To conduct chemical, biological and physical tests on materials to determine that standards are met.
- To perform cultures and identify bacteria and viruses
- To monitor the quality of testing
- To supervise junior staff
- To perform any other related duties assigned
