Job Title: Shipping Supervisor (2 Positions)

Location Dar Es Salaam
Reports to Shipping Manager


Purpose
Handling the Transit Coffee Shipments through Dar es Salaam


Key Result Areas
1) Handling the Documentation and operations of Coffee Shipments from Zambia, AVIV, Burundi, and Rwanda
2) Occasionally supervise the stuffing of coffee Shipments in Oar es Salaam.
3) Handling the Import consignments of Jute Bags/Fertilizers to Plantations or the other origins which are handled by him.
4) Dispatch of PSSI Type samples received from Quality control department and updating the AWB number to Singapore traffic or concerned person.
5) Coordination and tracking with the respective offices to obtain Export approvals three weeks prior shipment month.
6) Preparation Pre Shipment Documentation for the customs clearance and Issuing Shipping Instructions to C & F agents to initiate Shipment procedure.
7) Following up and obtain booking confirmation finding out positioning of Empty containers for stuffing and Obtaining Draft B/L within 48 hours after stuffing.

Person Specification
• The person with a Degree/Diploma in Logistics Management.
• Hands on experience in Documentation for both import and export consignments through Dar es Salaam Port.
• Should be well versed in the end to end operation of transit cargo Shipments through Dar es Salaam.
• 2-4 years of experience in similar field.
• A lot of field work is involved thus the person should be flexible
• Should be passionate about the work and willingness to learn.
