Accountant - Ultimate Security

Ultimate Security is looking for Accountant having minimum 5 years of Experience in Account Payable, Bank reconciliation, Supplier reconciliation, Inter-company reconciliation, posting expenses vouchers etc. 

Salary will range from TZS 1 million to TZS 1.5 million.

Reports To: Finance Controller

Overall Job Purpose:

·    The  Accountant is responsible for to assist the financial controller for day to day accounting matters, Ensure reliable and accurate financial reporting processes and systems, Provide timely reporting for closing the financial book and Audits, Ensures alignment with the accounting principles as per International Financial Reporting Standards & International Auditing Standards.


Functions of Job:
·    Look after complete posting of all transactions (including reports i.e. Trial balance, debtors and creditors list) independently.
·    Maintain the Fixed asset Register and Run the depreciation schedule on Monthly basis
·    Check the accuracy and completeness of the bank reconciliation on daily basis
·    Check the approval and correct accounting ledger for posting petty cash vouchers on daily basis
·    Timely completion of Inter Branch Reconciliation on monthly basis
·    Timely completion of Intercompany Reconciliation on monthly basis
·    Handling a team of accountant and making sure team well motivated and  disciplined
·    Preparation and submission of Monthly VAT Return
·    Preparation and submission of P9 and P10 Returns
·    Responsible for ZNZ Branch Customer Reconciliations & aging summery.
·    Assist the FC from journal entry till the financial reporting for Ultimate Communication.
·     Ensure all supplier reconciliation and payments as per due dates
·    Review of Supplier payments and general payments before approval
·    Participates in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, etc
·    Provide timely reporting for completion of Audits- External customers
One point of contact for above internal/external customers
·    Helping to  Finance Controller  for preparation Audit Schedule

Key Performance Indicators

·    Closing financial book on monthly basis not later than 5th of every month
·    Compliance with statutory audits and TRA
·    100% accuracy of Financial information
·    Adhere to all the internal control and keep the team in high spirit

Financial dimensions:   

·    Ensure  timely closure of financial books and  Statutory compliance

Job Holder Specification:

Formal Education    :     Graduate in Finance & Accounts

Experience:   
·    Previous experience of working in a finance department with exposure to accounts of 3 - 5 years.
·    Good understanding about IFRS
·    Experience in security industry will be an added advantage.
·    Experience in coordinating with various departments to solve issues.

Personal qualities:       
·    Good keyboard skills and competence of Word, Excel and Outlook are required
·    High standard of numeracy, accuracy with attention to detail
·    A team player with a flexible approach and a willingness to learn
·    A self-starter who is pro-active and can set and achieves goals
·    Strong organizational & time management skills.
·    Ability to recognize potential risks to the Firm that should be escalated
