Library and Documentation Assistant II

COSTECH seeks to recruit candidates for the following vacant posts which are required to be filled as soon as possible

Position: Library and Documentation Assistant II

Reports to: Director of Knowledge Management

Main Duties and Responsibilities

(i) To assist in handling simple enquiries from readers;
(ii) To assist in bibliographical searches;
(iii) To assist in collecting library statistics and determined by the Librarian;
(ii) To assist in compilation of bibliographies, abstracts, indexes and repackaging information reports, periodicals, newspapers, articles, etc for stakeholders;
(iii) To assist in tracking and managing STI issues in manner supportive to activities of national stakeholders;
(iv) To assist in editing scientific reports and publications as well as vetting all information posted on the online platforms;
(v) To assist in updating the corporate social media platforms;
(vi) To assist in realization of effective COSTECH events and activities; and
(vii) To performs any other duties assigned by superior.

Qualifications:
Certificate in Library and Information studies or equivalent qualifications from recognized institutions.

Salary Scale: COSS 5
