DIRECTOR OF FINANCE

POSITION: DIRECTOR OF FINANCE 

The Director of Finance reports to the Managing Director and has the overall responsibilities of managing financial resources of the Corporation. 

Principal duties and responsibilities 
· Heads the directorate of Finance and Accounts; 
· Establish budget formats and directing budgetary control ; 
· Directing and coordinating the annual planning and ensures that all financial statements are prepared in accordance with International Financial Reporting standards (IFRS) and adherence with International Accounting Standards (IAS); 
· Manages financial resources and operations; 
· Develops and implements strategies for resource Mobilization; 
· Provides financial advice to the Management; 
· Develops individual objectives/targets and performance standards as part of the individual performance agreement in consultation with the immediate superior; and 
· Performs any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by superior 

Minimum Qualifications and Experience 
Holder of CPA with MBA or equivalent with at least 8 years experience 5 of which must have been in a senior position. Must also be registered as authorized accountant with National Board of 10 

Accountants and Auditors (NBAA) for at least two years. Possession of computer application skills in various accounting computer package’s is a must. Well versed with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). 

Competence among others are:- 
· Ability to communicate with excellent writing skills; 
· Ability to supervise and direct multifunctional professionals; and 
· Strong working knowledge of computer programs: Microsoft word, Excel, and Accounting Packages. 

Age Limit:

Remuneration 
According to STAMICO Schemes of Service in the salary scale of STAMICO - Salary Scale SMC 10.
