LABORATORY TECHNOLOGIST
Location: Dar es Salaam
Duties to Include:
- Accept samples at the reception unit and register them in the registration book and computer if there’s one
- Perform and evaluate document internal quality control data and assure that patient’s results are not reported when quality controls fails
- Detect and document any technical problems pertaining to instrumentation and establish the cause and rectify the problem in accordance to the guidelines and procedures
- Ensure that proper records of laboratory investigations are maintained
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patients results, families and staff
Work Experience / Skills:
Knowledge of project planning and monitoring tools
Adequate experience working in a team
Qualifications:
- Diploma in health laboratory technology from a recognized institution
- Should have full registration with the Health Laboratory Practitioners Council as a Health Laboratory Technologist
