Our client, the Trustees of Tanzania National Parks (TANAPA) established under the National Parks Act, Cap. 282 of the 2002, Revised Edition of the Laws of Tanzania is responsible for managing and regulating the use of areas designated as National Parks so as to preserve the country's heritage, encompassing natural and cultural resources. Currently, TANAPA manages fifteen (15) national Parks which are scattered all over the country.

POSITION: INVESTMENTS MANAGER (IM) Job Ref: TNP/IM/09/13
Position Summary:
To identify potential investments and promote partnerships and joint ventures for the new projects. Further, the incumbent will be charged with conducting market research on the available opportunities and develop business plans for exploring those opportunities.
Reporting to the Director, Planning and Development Projects,
key duties and responsibilities will include:
• Identifying and advising on potential investments by conducting feasibility studies for new projects and develop business plan;
• Conducting market research, identify market trends and opportunities and adjust business plans accordingly;
• Identifying and promoting joint ventures/ partnerships with potential investors;
• Developing and implementing investment management strategies;
• Monitoring and evaluating performance of TANAPA investments ventures;
• Advising management on risk mitigation strategies in relation to investments;
• Developing/revising investment policies as need arises;
• Advising management on joint ventures and partnership opportunities available; and
• Conducting performance appraisal of staff directly reporting to the respective department.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
• Master’s Degree in Economics, or Business Administration (Finance Option) from a recognized institution;
• At least eight years of working experience in the relevant field, three of which should be in a senior position;
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
