VACANCY PROGRAM OFFICER
The Program Officer will be responsible for a broad range of tasks and subjects related to private sector development and energy.
Main tasks
- Manage development programs and projects in the program areas outlined above
- Monitor and analyze trends in business and investment climate in Tanzania and East Africa
- Assist Norwegian companies with relevant information related to trade and investments in Tanzania and East Africa.
- Network with relevant institutions in both Norway and Tanzania
- Update the Embassy webpage with information, news and events relevant to Norwegian investors and companies
- Other duties and tasks as may be deemed necessary
Requirements
- Candidates should have a Masters Degree preferably in business administration, economics or political science, and some working experience preferably from an international working environment.
- The candidate should have good analytical skills, be fluent in English and preferably have working knowledge of Kiswahili.
- Familiarity with a Nordic language is an advantage.
- ICT skills are required, and experience or interest in applying electronic project management systems is critical.
- Furthermore, we are looking for a person who is able to develop good working relationships with Ministry officials, development partners, NGOs and colleagues at the Embassy.
- We are looking for a good team player who can also work independently and efficiently.
