Plant Inspectors


Position: Plant  Inspectors
Place: Occupational Safety and Health Authority 

Qualifications, Experience and Skills
The candidates should possess a university degree or diploma in Mechanical engineering or FTC or related qualifications from a recognised institution, a three years practical experience in mechanical engineering and being computer skills will be an added advantage. The individual should also possess/own basic technical equipment required for the service applied for, i.e. Hydraulic Pump, thickness gauge meter, skidders pressure gauge, NDT test kit, test bags, tappet clearance, appropriate personal protective equipment (PPEs) as well as computer and printer for timely report writing

Duties and Responsibilities
The role of the candidate is to conduct General Health and Safety inspection, plant safety inspection at workplaces (include: pressure vessels, air receivers, steam receivers, lifting equipment  i.e. cranes, chain blocks, conveyors etc), preparing inspections reports, compiling monthly, quarterly and annual reports as well as keeping records of inspections. To conduct follow-up inspections to ensure corrective measures have been implemented.
