Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) was established under the Tanzania Revenue Authority Act No.11 0f 1995.The Authority is a semi-autonomous agency of the Government responsible for the administration of the Central Government taxes as well as several non-tax revenues. 

TRA is currently implementing its Third Corporate Plan whose vision is to be ‘A Modern Tax Administration’ TRA would like to recruit dynamic experienced and qualified personnel to fill vacant positions in the Customs and Excise, Domestic Revenue and Human Resources and Administration Departments. Applications are therefore invited from suitably qualified Tanzanians for the following positions:  

POSITION: JANITOR

 Purpose of the Job  
To handle matters relating to occupancy in the halls of residence.  

Major Activities of the Job
i. Assists in keeping and maintaining proper halls of residence records
 ii. Ensuring security in and around halls of residence
  iii. Report any defects or damages in the halls of residence to Warden 
  iv. Orders facilities needed for executing duties in the halls of residence  
v. Keeps record of the stores in halls of residence
  vi. Maintains good working relations between students and all staff in the halls of residence  
vii. Assists in enforcement of students’ rules and regulations
 viii. Ensures that proper conduct and ethics of hall residence are maintained by occupants 
  ix. Ensures cleanliness of halls of residence, rooms and grounds  
x. Performs any other duties as may be assigned by one’s reporting officer  

Minimum Job Requirements Qualification  
Diploma in Education, Social welfare or its equivalent with at least an upper second class from a recognized institution.

Experience  
At least four years relevant work experience in a similar position.
