The Social Security Regulatory Authority (SSRA) was established by an Act of Parliament No 8 of 2008 with the major objective of supervising and regulating the social security sector in Tanzania.

1.0 MIS OFFICER (2 POSITIONS)
Core Job Description; Provides first line support for ICT Systems, including hardware, networks and applications. She/he will also undertake database design, application development and system administrative tasks.
Required Qualifications and Skills: Holder of a Bachelors degree or equivalent in computer science, information technology, computer engineering or related discipline. Must have demonstrable knowledge of network administration and programming.
2.0 SENIOR COMPLIANCE OFFICER (1 POSITION)
Core Job Description: Assist in the development of policies and guidelines for operations of social security schemes, managers and custodians. She/he will respond to, review and evaluate issues of concern as shall be raised by stakeholders in the social security that relate to compliance. Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk. Institute and maintain an effective compliance communication program of the Authority.
Required Qualifications and Skills: Holder of a Masters degree in Law, Business Administration, Social Security, Actuarial Sciences, Finance, Insurance or any related field. At least six (6) years experience in the Tanzanian’s Social Security Sector coupled with excellent knowledge of the operations of social security schemes. Must be Computer Literate.
3.0 PUBLIC RELATION AND PROMOTION OFFICER (1 POSITION)
Core Job Description: Assist in the preparation of promotion programmes, public awareness campaigns develop and propose relevant promotional materials.
Required Qualifications and Skills: Holder of a Bachelors degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Journalism, Business Communication, Public Relations or related field from recognized Institution/University. Must be Computer Literate.
4.0 SENIOR PUBLIC RELATION AND PROMOTION OFFICER (1 POSITION)
Core Job Description: Responsible for managing public relations functions in the Authority and dissemination of education to the public in general; handling an internal and external corporate communications in order to create and maintain a good corporate image which is consistent with goals and objectives of the Authority.
Required Qualifications and Skills; The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor Degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Public Relations, and Journalism from recognized University. Masters degree in relevant field will be an added advantage. The candidate will have six (6) years experience coupled with Computer literacy and knowledge on PR activities in Tanzania.
5.0 SENIOR LEGAL OFFICER (1 POSITION)
Core Job Description: Undertakes legal research, draw up, scrutinize and review
legal instruments including Schemes’ Acts and SSRA Act; give legal opinion; provide appropriate interpretation of statutes, regulations, guidelines, rules and agreements relating to the functions of the Authority; prepare court proceedings, defend and represent the Authority in a court of law, Social Security Tribunal or any other legal body when necessary. She/he will advise the Director of Legal Services on all corporate and legal issues and supervises Legal Officers.
Required Qualifications and Skills: Holder of a Masters Degree in Law coupled with six (6) years experience in the field of law. Must be a registered Advocate of the High Court. Experience and excellent knowledge of Tanzania’s social security system particularly operations of social security schemes will be an added advantage. The candidate will have excellent communication skills both oral and written. She/he must demonstrate professionalism and wide knowledge of legal and social security issues.

7.0 RESEARCH AND POLICY ANALYST OFFICER (1 POSITION)
Core Job Description: Assist in preparation of inputs for the formulation of policies, and reports. Initiate statistical and policy analysis and impact assessment studies. Act as a research assistant in the field and collect data for analysis.
Required Qualifications and Skills: Holder of Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, Social Security, Actuarial Sciences, Insurance or any other related fields.
8.0 HUMAN RESOURCES AND ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER (1 POSITION)
Core Job Description: Collection, analyze and keep employment records. Assist in attending staff matters regarding recruitments, leave, and welfare. To coordinate office administration issues.
Required Qualifications and Skills: Holder of Bachelors Degree in Public Administration, Sociology, Human Resource Management or related fields.
9.0 ACCOUNTANT (2 POSITIONS)
Core Job Description: Prepare accounts documentation, maintain petty cashbook, cheque register and financial reports, and assist in carrying out regular bank reconciliation. Carry out cashier duties.
Required Qualifications and Skills: Holder of Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related fields.
10.0 PERSONAL SECRETARY (1 POSITION)
Core Job Description: Type correspondence, make travel arrangements, attend to visitors, receive and direct telephone calls, organize and maintain diary of appointments, provide secretarial services to senior officers.
Required Qualifications and Skills: Holder of Form IV Certificate with Secretarial Certificate from a recognized institution. Must be computer literate and have excellent knowledge of computer applications including MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint. Should have at least three (3) years working experience in a reputable organization.
