Our programs host `students and professionals from around the world in some of the most stimulating and engaging destinations in Africa and Asia. The main objective is to inspire and empower participants to create positive change in the world, in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Our local offices in Africa and Asia host a range of Study Abroad Programs, International Voluntary Service Programs as well as other Custom Programs in areas such as health, education, entrepreneurship and leadership. Program Managers and Program Officers are responsible for the short-term and long-term coordination of both content and logistics.

For our office in Kigali, we are looking for a Program Management Intern to join our Program Management Team for a minimum of 3 months. Only serious candidates will be considered who have the intention and desire of gaining full employment as a Program Officer by the end of the internship.

About the position
Under the direction of our Program Manager and our Country Manager, the Program
Management Intern is responsible to help to develop, coordinate, monitor and
evaluateeducation and engagement programs.
Primary tasks and duties will include:
 Assistance with the development of program itineraries and related documentation
 Assistance with relevant program preparations, operations and evaluations, including
tour guiding
 Assistance with the engagement of a variety of local institutional partners
 Assistance with research
 Occasional assistance with other business development and management tasks at the
office

Required skills & competencies
Education & experience:
 Recent college or university degree

Skills:
 Extensive knowledge of Rwanda, both with regards to geography and current affairs
 Excellent English and Kinyarwanda language skills
 Excellent communication and writing skills
 Knowledge of and interest in topics relating to sustainable development and social
justice
 Regional or international travel experience is a plus

Character & personality:
 Self-starter who takes initiative and thinks outside the box
 Passionate about sustainable development and social justice
 Outgoing, a natural communicator and a good networker
 Highly reliable and trustworthy
 Willing to travel regularly and to spend considerable amounts of time away from home,
including on weekends and public holidays
 Ability to work independently with little supervision
