Axle Load Supervisor (1 Post) at TANROADS – Arusha

The Regional Manager’s Office TANROADS – Arusha, on behalf of the Chief Executive, TANROADS, intends to recruit qualified and competent Tanzanians to fill the following vacant posts on specific duties short-terms contracts within the Region. Successful applicants must be ready to work for considerable lengths of time away from their permanent stations within the Region if situations warrants.

Position Tittle: Axle Load Supervisor (1 Post)

Educational/Professional Qualifications And Other Attributes
i. A National Form IV/VI certificate;
ii. Must have a Bachelor Degree in civil/mechanical/electrical and Telecommunication; engineering or equivalent from any recognized Higher Learning Institution/colleges;
iii. Registered relevant with ERB;
iv. Computer literate;
v. Self motivation, able to work under pressure outside working hours with minimum supervision;
vi. Fluent in both Swahili and English;
vii. Must be a Tanzanian Citizen;
viii. Age Limit between: 35 - 40 years.

Duties And Responsibility
i. Supervises Weighbridge operations;
ii. Prepares weighing data reports;
iii. Conducts open performance appraisal (OPRAS) for weighbridge staff;
iv. Overall supervision of shift activities;
v. Verify issued special Abnormal permits for trucks carrying abnormal load;
vi. Observing good customer care, dignity and integrity;
vii. Reporting all matters on Axle Load Control to Regional Manager;
viii. Perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Regional Manager;

SALARY:
Shall be TANROADS Salary scale 5.1
