TITLE: Engineering Sales Representative
PURPOSE:
To deliver a year-on-year increase of sales for Nabaki Afrika.
With your “ On site Civil Engineering “ experience, and Civil Engineering Qualifications, together with your confidence, excellent communication skills, tenacious following up of any sales opportunities, be they walk in, Internet and or telephone engagements, you close sales.
You are constantly engaging with our customers, but especially with our professional customers (e.g. Architects, Engineers and Project Managers etc…..) via email, face-to-face, Telephone, Social media, Professional Seminars, Exhibitions, Educational Establishments and site visits.
You are always providing excellent customer service and through your communication, negotiating and persuading skills, you are successful in getting customers to choose products from Nabaki Afrika.
You are confident and knowledgeable about Civil engineering, from on your on-site experience and our products, constantly researching and expanding your own knowledge through self-improvement and a proactive desire to constantly improve. Undertaking any site/project visits anywhere that is required.
You are proactive in contributing to debates, discussions and feedback on our products and systems.
Delivering and sharing your Civil engineering knowledge within the Nabaki team, educational and professional institutions.
RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports to: Engineering Sales Supervisor, and in his or her absence to the National Sales and Development Manager or Marketing and Strategy Manager.
Customers - External: ALL Nabaki customers
Customers - Internal: Stores, Logistics, Accounts, Sales Team’s at HQ or branch’s
Essential duties and responsibilities:
· Preparation of the sales order process to Nabaki customers, always ensuring orders are in accordance with the requested information, by asking relevant and investigating questions, so that orders are prepared in accordance with the sales team’s set order preparations guidelines.
· Deal in a courteous, efficient and professional manner with all customer queries, requests and demands and deliver the positive ‘sale’ attitude and ensuring the customer is satisfied.
· Through continuous improvement, meet and beat Nabaki Afrika sales targets by netting sales through proactive salesmanship and interest in Nabaki Afrika products as sold to customers. Follow up on previous customer sales and/or enquiries from various sources available to the customer to contact Nabaki Afrika.
· Constantly learn all you can about Nabaki Afrika products by referring to Nabaki CDs and other technical information, to ensure that the FAQs (frequently asked questions) and answers are always at your fingertips.
· Complete and submit to the correct persons, all required reports in the required time scales (SMRs, DARs, foot counts, summary reports and any other reports required).
· Continually review every aspect of the jobs’ activities to ensure that opportunities to improve are identified and implemented.
· Deliver (on time) any other work or projects as delegated or asked to complete by a line manager.
· Be a vocal contributor for information/discussions about any aspect of Nabaki Afrika’s operations.
· Ensure the full compliance of Nabaki Afrika’s company admin process and procedures.
· Research and advise on the best Nabaki Product solution to meet a client's needs.
· Youmust be able to react positively to training and delivery challenges and help lead the way in new developments of training targeted groups, internally and externally (e.g. institutions and individuals).
· Ability to communicate professionally in all forms of communication.

· This position will include work both inside and outside an industrial environment.
· Work activities may include: standing, walking, climbing, sitting, kneeling, stooping, reaching, handling, talking, hearing, seeing, and crouching.
· Working conditions include: heat, cold, wet, and dirty.
· Must be able to travel and enter plant operating sites with necessary PPE to access equipment and obtain data.
· Carries out any reasonable duties if and when required at the time, for the needs of the business.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
- Three-year bachelor of engineering degree (BEng) or four-year master’s degree (MEng) in civil engineering.
- A minimum of 2 years on site experience and /or management of a Project(s)
- Knowledge and experience of the following (but not limited to)
- Structural Engineering
- Hydraulic/Water resources
- Geo-technical
- Highways engineering
- Sales and Marketing qualifications would be an advantage and or Business / commerce experience.
