POSITION: Head of Finance

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Be an integral part and driver of the strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting and business decision making processes.
• Develop high quality decision-making tools in order to assist the Board and Exco with
decision-making.
• Contribute to the Financial Services Industry of Tanzania by playing a leading role on the
external committees.
• Evaluate and confirm new Strategic limitation.
• Ensure proper management and distribution of financial resources.
• Collaborate with the management team of business areas to set strategic direction and
provide advice on all financial issues.
• Drive budget achievement in his strategic business area and build the right decision support reports.
• Develop processes, new and innovative information and tools to assist in pro-active and
innovative financial decision-making.
• Evaluate and recommend on proposed investments and business proposals.
• Implement financial policies and processes to increase organizational effectiveness and efficiency.
• Produce and analyse Management Information.
• Coordinate and review monthly BSIS reports to Absa.
• Review and update the departments organization structure and role profiles regularly.
• Co-ordinate high quality financial statements and other management Information.
• Co-ordinate statutory reporting including SARB and BOT returns.
• Comply with statutory/regulatory reporting standards including IFRS.
• Comply accurate and timely financial and taxation reports for the Board and Exco.
• Liaise and co-operate with Absa Africa Desk with regards to Absa Group reporting standards and requirements.
• Ensure timely delivery of information are met within all the departments.
• Update, reconcile and verify fixed assets and fixed asset register.
• Perform people management functions, including but not limited to:
• Workforce and recruitment demand planning
• Talent management and succession planning

QUALIFICATIONS
CA/ACCA/CPA with articles.
• Banking experience.
• Proven ten years banking /financial industry experience at Senior Management level.
• Experince in Audit and Risk at Senior Management level.
• No criminal record.
• Understanding of the nature of the bank’s profitability relating to funding, liquidity and interest rate risks.
• In depth knowledge of international financial reporting standards

• In depth knowledge of international financial reporting standards.
• Banking experience.
• Proven ten years banking /financial industry experience at Senior Management level.
