ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT - REVENUE

Precision Air Services Plc is a fast growing private Tanzanian airline which operates in Partnership with Kenya Airways, with its strategies to expand wings beyond East Africa and Africa.  In order to keep our services at a higher level and meet our customers’ maximum satisfaction. We wish to invite applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill in this challenging position.

POSITION: ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT - REVENUE
REPORTS TO: TEAM LEADER - REVENUE ACCOUNTING
DUTY STATION: DAR ES SALAAM
ROLE PURPOSE OF THE STATEMENT

To protect the revenues of the company by timely, complete and accurate processing and accounting for cargo and passenger sales and refunds, uplifts and interline bills

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSBILITIES
· Timely follow up, receipt of sales returns, manifest and inward invoices in the revenue accounting system for processing and control and reconciliation of received returns/passenger uplift & manifest and expected/processed tally.
· Timely, complete and accurate processing of assigned passenger sales, uplifts and inward bills in the revenue accounting system to ensure reporting and applicable weekly IATA billings are achieved by the due dates.
· Timely audit of inward cargo billings and accurate invoicing of cargo uplifts to maximize cargo revenues collection and recoveries.
· Uphold industry, interline bilateral rules and pricing and sales conditions in all processing, computations and evaluation to maximize revenues.
· Carry out quality check and reviews on processed revenues to ensure accounted revenues, sales, refunds and interline bills raised are accurate
· and ensure continued and assured revenues from the loyal and satisfied customers.
· Control and manage accountable cargo and passenger sales document stock to ensure stock availability and no revenue loss associated with stock out.
· Batch and file fully processed sales returns, manifests and refunds for safe custody, ease of reference and statutory compliance
· Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by your team leader

PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:
· Accuracy in passenger uplifts revenue reporting
· Accurate and improved interline bill processing
· Accuracy sales and reduced adverse processing LGR (Loss/gain on refund and re-issues) effects.
· Reduction of interline rejections to less than 2%.
· Completeness of weekly uplifts by the 7th of working day after uplifts.
· Timely weekly billings as per the IATA calendar.
· Timely refund computation and processing per set rules

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE
· Graduate in B.Com Finance/ Accounting or any Business related Degree
· 2 years experience in airline industry.
· IATA certification is an added advantage
